Hyflon PFA and MFA are fully-fluorinated semi-crystalline polymers which offer excellent temperature and chemical resistance. PFA is a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene (TFE) and perfluoro-propylvinylether (PFPVE). MFA is a copolymer of TFE and perfluoro-methylvinylether (PFMVE). These compositions offer the performance properties of PTFE with tremendous processing versatility. Therefore they are ideal choices for components (pipe, tubing, fittings, coatings and linings) that require high corrosion resistance and purity.
In addition to excellent temperature and chemical resistance, Hyflon PFA and MFA offer:
-
Good mechanical properties
-
Better stress crack resistance than FEP
-
Outstanding permeation resistance
-
MFA, in particular, has outstanding surface smoothness
Hyflon PFA and MFA are available in a variety of injection molded fluid and filtration components. Hyflon PFA and MFA sheet are used in tank and vessels linings for chemical storage and transport.
Hyflon grades are available as pellets for extrusion and injection molding, powders for rotational molding, liquid dispersions for spray coating and powder coating grades for electrostatic powder coatings and linings. For more information on Hyflon PFA and MFA visit:
